Field Service Technician

Modesto, California

Job Summary:

Reliance One is hiring for one of our clients seeking a Field Service Technician to support customers with installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of specialized industrial equipment. This role combines mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic expertise to ensure machines operate efficiently. The ideal candidate enjoys hands-on problem-solving, customer interaction, and frequent travel to provide on-site support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble and install machinery following blueprints and technical drawings.
• Test components and complete systems to verify proper operation.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and electrical issues.
• Travel to customer locations for equipment setup, service, and maintenance.
• Communicate effectively with customers and internal teams to provide updates and solutions.
• Train distributors and representatives on equipment operation and servicing.
• Prepare cost estimates for repairs and installations.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace.
• Collaborate with engineers and colleagues to address and resolve complex problems.

Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, or pneumatic systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and schematics.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 75% of the time.
