Role Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Field Service Technician to support our operations across various construction project sites as well as agriculture sites. In this role, you will be the "boots on the ground" expert responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting specialized systems.
Note: This is a technical service position. While you will be working in active construction environments, this role does not involve the operation of heavy machinery (excavators, cranes, etc.).
Key Responsibilities
- Site Deployment: Travel to active construction sites to perform setup and calibration of proprietary technical systems.
- Technical Support: Diagnose and repair hardware or software issues in the field, ensuring minimal downtime for project timelines.
- Site Coordination: Work alongside site managers and subcontractors to ensure equipment is integrated safely and effectively.
- Documentation: Maintain precise logs of service visits, equipment status, and site-specific configurations.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA and site-specific safety protocols, including the consistent use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assembly: When not engaged in field service work Field Service Technicians will be expected to assist in manufacturing, assembling, and reconditioning of equipment in shop environment.
Travel Requirements
- High Volume Travel: Expect to be on the road 75%–90% of the time.
- Travel may include regional, , or overnight stays depending on project duration.
- Reliable transportation.
Qualifications & Skills
- Technical Aptitude: Low power systems (12v mostly), sensors, telematics, and Wi-Fi mesh networks.
- Environmental Resilience: Comfort working outdoors in various weather conditions and navigating active, unpaved construction sites.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to interface with diverse site crews and corporate engineering teams.
- Requirements: Must possess a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Certifications: OSHA 30, SST, NFPA 70r, First Aid. (These will be Mandatory, so if not currently held, a willingness to obtain is mandatory).
Physical Demands
- Ability to walk long distances over uneven terrain.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Comfort working at heights or in confined spaces if required by the specific project.
Compensation
- This will be a salaried position
- 3 weeks of PTO
- Technician maybe ask to drive their own vehicle. If so, we compensate according to federal guidelines per mile driven. (currently .72 cents a mile)
