FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIAN (LOW VOLTAGE / PARKING SYSTEMS)
Location: 5940 Benjamin Road, Tampa FL 33634 (90% on the road in the Tampa area)
Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM • On-Call Rotation(after training)

PSX is a , privately owned parking and security systems integrator specializing in the installation, service, and support of PARCS equipment, access control systems, gate operators, and related low-voltage technologies. We are seeking a mechanically inclined, hands-on Field Technician to join our Pittsburgh team.
If you enjoy troubleshooting, working with tools, solving problems, and being in the field instead of an office, this role may be an excellent fit.
About the Role - As a Parking & Access Control Technician, you will:
- Install, service, and repair automated gate operators, barrier arms, parking revenue systems, and access control equipment
- Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and low-voltage issues using meters, tools, and system software
- Perform preventive maintenance on mechanical assemblies, motors, gears, sensors, and control boards
- Run and terminate low-voltage wiring (CAT5/6, 18/2, relays, sensors, loops)
- Read and follow service bulletins, training manuals, and basic wiring diagrams
- Communicate professionally with customers, property managers, and internal teams
- Manage work orders, document findings, and track parts usage
- Participate in an on-call rotation after training (typically every 4–6 weeks)
Who Thrives in This Job
We train extensively — but the strongest new technicians typically have backgrounds in:
- HVAC, electrical, industrial maintenance, electromechanical, or automotive
- Low-voltage installation (access control, alarms, CCTV, cabling)
- Mechanical repair (motors, pumps, gears, actuators, machinery)
- Field service, facilities, or any hands-on technical trade
If you enjoy diagnosing problems, using tools, and fixing equipment, you will excel here.
What We're Looking For
- Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with motors, gears, moving equipment
- Basic electrical or low-voltage knowledge (12/24/120V, sensors, relays, wiring)
- Proficiency with hand and power tools (drills, grinders, multimeters, saws, etc.)
- Strong troubleshooting and critical-thinking ability
- Comfortable working independently after training
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Ability to work outdoors, in parking facilities, and in all weather conditions
- Clear, professional communication
- Dependable, trustworthy, and safety-minded
