Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Field Service Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for delivering on-site technical services, including installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial systems and equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong technical acumen, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to providing exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Travel to client sites to install, troubleshoot, and maintain technical systems and industrial equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance and inspections to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime.
- Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues, implementing effective solutions.
- Maintain accurate service records, including equipment status, parts usage, and troubleshooting documentation.
- Educate clients on equipment operation, maintenance procedures, and best practices.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Key Requirements:
- Associate degree in a related technical field or 4+ years of relevant experience without a degree.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in material handling automation, equipment repair, or general maintenance (with degree).
- Strong knowledge of electronics, industrial equipment, and LAN/WAN networks.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Comfortable working in physically demanding environments, including tight spaces and varying conditions.
- Forklift certification
- Experience with low voltage systems
- Familiarity with PLC programming and logic
- Travel Required: Yes – Regular, extensive travel
