A Field Service Technician that provides installation and maintenance of beverage dispensing equipment in the field. Their duties include installation, troubleshooting and repairs.
Field Service Technician duties and responsibilities:
A successful Field Service Technician candidate can adapt to a variety of work environments and quickly solve problems. Their main responsibility is to provide excellent customer service while maintaining equipment, with specific Field Service Technician job duties including:
- Installing, maintaining, and repairing various beverage equipment and systems at customer sites
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hardware, software and system failures
- Performing routine maintenance on beverage equipment
- Testing equipment to troubleshoot the issues
- Completing detailed reports on services provided, costs, inventory, and other aspects of each customer visit
- Maintaining all tools and equipment used during service calls
- Teaching customers how to use the equipment properly
- Managing the stock of replacement parts and equipment, and reordering supplies when necessary
- Ability to work flexible shifts and to adapt to changing work schedules
- Familiarity with mobile tools and applications
What does a Field Service Technician do?
Field Service Technicians work in the field, traveling to commercial locations with the company vehicle provided to them to provide service, maintenance and installation. They use their technical skills to troubleshoot issues when they arise to keep the customer’s equipment functioning properly. A Field Service Technician not only ensures the equipment is installed and working properly, but also manages customer relationships to boost customer retention and satisfaction, which ultimately boosts the company’s profitability.

We currently dispatch from our warehouses in Indianapolis and Louisville, with service techs that go out in the field providing services needed to commercial sites. We're starting a Chicago branch and looking to hire a service tech to start in that market.
