Biogas Field Service Technician
Biogas Field Service Technicians operate and perform routine maintenance on natural gas processing equipment as well as assisting on operational duties. Operators spend majority of their time working closely with Nacelle’s customers to ensure Nacelle’s value proposition is realized by our customers. An unrelenting focus on safety for all activities is paramount. With a customer-centric focus, the Biogas Field Service Technician must possess a strong capacity for attention to detail and a sense of urgency for both the customer and Company to meet and exceed operational goals.
Responsibilities·
· Independently, safely operate and maintain on-site natural gas equipment
· Follow all Nacelle and Nacelle customer safety policies and procedures
· Communicate with customer and other customer contracts to maximize performance of equipment and operations
· Follow proper start-up, shut-down, and monitoring programs
· Ensure proper operation of equipment by assisting in any preventative maintenance programs or needed repairs
· Perform administrative functions related to unit operation and maintenance
· Routinely communicate with Operations Manager
· Perform general housekeeping duties and be familiar with Nacelle’s HAZOP and Spill Prevention Plans
- Other duties as may be assigned
Qualifications
o RNG Processing Equipment Knowledge and Experience a plus
o Gas Compression and Conditioning Equipment Experience
o PLC / HMI Knowledge and Troubleshooting Experience
o Manure Handling Equipment Experience, Operations and Repairs
o Anaerobic Digester Operations Experience
o Equipment Operation Experience, front-end loader, all terrain forklift, various type of personnel lifting equipment
o Basic Electrical Knowledge and minor troubleshooting
o Mechanical ability, prior experience with dairy related equipment
o Must be self-directed and possess the ability to perform duties with little to no supervision
o Represent Nacelle in a professional matter at all times, to the client, the host farm and its owners and employees, vendors, contractors, any gov’t agencies that you may interact with
o Responsive and Respectful to fellow employees and management
o High School Diploma or G.E.D.
o Computer skills including some PLC and HMI Controls
o Ability to read and interpret P&ID’s and other construction and fabrication drawings
o Willing to be on-call with rotating schedule (regular attendance and punctuality a must)
o Microsoft Office Suite skills a plus
o Scheduling and Record Keeping Skills
o First Aid / CPR Trained, or willing to be certified within 6 months
o Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
o This is a safety sensitive position subject to random drug testing.
Work Environment
· Must be available to work all shifts and schedules
· Work in all climate conditions
· Available for emergency call outs
· Travel may be required
· Heavy lifting required
Physical Demands/Working Environment:
Regularly required to:
- Talk and hear; verbally express ideas, information, and instructions
- Have the ability to work around loud to moderate noise
- Climb stairs and ladders
- Lift, pull, push, or carry up to fifty (50) pounds
Occasionally required to:
- Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Stand/walk for long periods of time without a break
- Remain seated in a normal position for up to half the workday
Miscellaneous:
- May be required to work in all kinds of weather.
- May be required to work all shifts and schedules.
- May be required to participate and qualify for a variety safety training programs.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour
