Key Responsibilities
- Install, service, and troubleshoot custom liquid filling machinery (approximately 50% travel).
- Perform equipment installs and repairs at customer locations across the U.S.
- Train operators and customers on equipment usage and maintenance.
- Assemble and test machinery at the company’s Michigan City facility when not traveling.
- Respond to urgent service requests, including short-notice travel as needed.
- Communicate directly with customers, including operators, buyers, and company leadership.
- Ensure equipment operates to specifications through mechanical and basic electrical troubleshooting.
Requirements
- Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on machinery experience (automotive, industrial, or production equipment).
- Ability to troubleshoot both mechanical and electrical systems.
- Comfortable working independently in both in-house and customer site environments.
- Willingness and ability to travel 50% of the time, including air travel and overnight stays.
- Strong communication skills and professional customer-facing presence.
- Ability to manage jobs from start to finish with minimal supervision.
Qualifications
- Experience with packaging, filling, or bottling machinery.
- Ability to read mechanical and electrical schematics.
- Field service experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Experience building electrical panels or performing machine wiring.
