Job DescriptionJob DescriptionPennant Solutions Group is hiring for a strong Telecommunications Installer in Glen Allen, VA.

Job Summary:
Responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of commercial and government radio systems, E911 technologies, and other telecommunications solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform all duties of a Field Service Installer, plus:

  • Install and configure hardware and software for radio systems, E911 technologies, and related telecom solutions

  • Troubleshoot computer, network, two-way radio, and telecommunications systems, including hardware, software, and peripherals

  • Tune RF combining equipment to meet operational specifications

  • Assist with system cutovers, upgrades, and preventative maintenance tasks

• Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours and weekend support, as required

• Perform additional related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of two-way radio systems, E911 technologies, and basic networking

• Familiarity with test meters and diagnostic equipment

• Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams

• Strong communication, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• 1–2 years of relevant experience in two-way radio communications, 911 systems, or a comparable combination of training and experience

Additional Requirements:

• Must be physically able to work at heights, climb, bend, pull cables, reach overhead, stand/walk for long periods, and lift up to 50 lbs

• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening
