Field Service Millwright Supervisor – Pulp & Paper Industry

We are seeking an experienced Field Service Millwright Supervisor to oversee site supervisors and hourly millwright crews in the pulp & paper industry. This leadership role is responsible for building and maintaining a skilled workforce, ensuring safe and efficient project execution, and fostering strong customer relationships..

This position requires heavy travel to project sites, company vehicle and expenses.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision of site supervisors and millwright crews on pulp & paper projects

• Lead all aspects of project execution with a strong emphasis on safety, quality, and efficiency

• Build and maintain construction project schedules; track progress from planning through completion

• Coordinate work across engineering, crafts, and subcontractors

• Prioritize tasks, manage resources, and resolve schedule/material conflicts

• Oversee the change order process and keep the Operations Manager informed of project impacts

• Ensure high-quality workmanship and adherence to customer specifications

• Develop scope with Operations Managers and Planners; assist in bid proposal preparation

• Conduct punch list development and project closeout activities

• Manage subcontractor performance and field needs

• Coach, mentor, and develop supervisors and craft employees to build a strong, fluent workforce

• Build and maintain positive customer relationships

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in the pulp & paper industry (millwright/construction leadership)

• Proven ability to lead and motivate large crews in high-pressure environments

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and adapt to changing project demands

• Commitment to a safety-first culture

• Willingness to travel 75%+ for projects (competitive travel pay and per diem provided)

• Experience building customer trust and long-term relationships
