Field Service Construction Equipment Mechanic – Barnsco Texas

Do you have a passion for fixing equipment and working in the field? Barnsco Texas is looking for a Field Service Mechanic to keep our equipment – and our customers’ – running at peak performance. If you enjoy hands-on work, traveling to job sites, and solving mechanical problems, this is the opportunity for you!

What You’ll Do:

• Travel to customer job sites to diagnose and repair construction equipment

• Perform preventative maintenance on Barnsco rental equipment in the field

• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues using schematics and computer-assisted tools

• Repair forklifts, tractors, trailers, and other heavy equipment

• Maintain and organize your service vehicle, tools, and parts inventory

• Communicate with customers and our Service Manager to ensure timely, professional service

• Pitch in with in-house repairs when service calls aren’t pending

What We’re Looking For:

• 5+ years of hands-on field service or equipment maintenance experience

• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills

• Ability to read and understand schematics

• Must have your own set of industrial tools

• Professionalism, urgency, and excellent customer service

• Ability to lift 75 lbs and safely work on heavy equipment

• Valid driver’s license (must be able to complete after-hours service calls)

• High school diploma or GED required
