The Field Service Manager oversees daily operations of the field service team supporting agricultural equipment, irrigation systems, and farm technology. This role ensures top-tier service to customers by managing technicians, coordinating installations and repairs, and maintaining strong relationships with growers and ag partners. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with agricultural systems and a passion for supporting farm productivity and uptime.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and schedule a team of field service technicians for on-site service, maintenance, and installation of agricultural equipment (e.g., pivots, pumps, valves, controls).
• Ensure timely and professional service to farms, agribusinesses, and rural customers across the region.
• Train and mentor technicians on troubleshooting, safety protocols, and best practices.
• Coordinate parts, equipment, and tools needed for field jobs, ensuring minimal downtime for customers.
• Serve as the primary contact for escalated customer issues, ensuring prompt and effective resolution.
• Monitor service quality, safety compliance, and technician performance through regular reporting and reviews.
• Collaborate with sales and operations to align service efforts with business goals.
• Maintain accurate records of service visits, repairs, and preventative maintenance activities.
• Ensure compliance with agricultural safety standards and environmental regulations.
• Support the onboarding of new equipment technologies, GPS systems, and automation tools.
Qualifications:
• 5+ years of field service experience in agriculture, irrigation, or related equipment.
• 2+ years in a leadership or supervisory role .
• Strong technical understanding of agricultural machinery, center pivots, pumps, and control systems.
• Excellent organizational and scheduling abilities.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Working knowledge of fleet management, and work order systems.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to rural job sites as needed.
Skills:
• Experience with brands like Valley, Reinke, Zimmatic, or John Deere, Case, CAT is a plus.
• Background in precision ag technologies or remote monitoring systems.
• Strong customer service , especially with growers and farm operators.
Quickbooks & spreadsheets knowledge is also a plus
