The Field Service & Installation Technician serves our customers directly on location or in the shop. They work with our internal Service Dispatchers and Coordinators to give the customers the best experience possible. It is important that this person can learn and retain product specific information as it pertains to the position. This position will cover SWS customers in the North Puget Sound area.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Hydraulic troubleshooting, installation, and repair
• Install and repair industrial type equipment
• PLC and electrical control systems troubleshooting, installation and repair
• Read & understand hydraulic and electrical schematics
• Single and Three phase AC electrical power troubleshooting and repair
• Welding repair
• Establishes and maintains strong working relationships with all levels of the organization including co-workers, management, customers, and vendors as applicable
• Complete documentation with high attention to detail
• Diagnose and repair customer owned equipment in the shop and in the field
• Prepare new equipment for final delivery to customers

Requirements:

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word & Outlook is a plus
• Ability to read and understand hydraulic and electrical schematics
• Computer literate (text, uploading and / or downloading documents or pictures)
• Maintenance experience
• Supply own hand tools (wrenches, screwdrivers, hammers, etc.)
• Occasional overnight travel for remote location jobs and able to work in all weather conditions
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with shifting priorities and timeframes
• Ability to think creatively and innovatively
• Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
• Dependable and results-driven with solid time-management and organizational skills
• Geographical knowledge and/or map reading skills
• Proven ability to effectively resolve problems or issues by using good judgment consistent with company standards, practices, policies, procedures, values, and applicable regulatory and legal standards
• CDL Class B license is a plus
• DC electrical experience is a plus
• Willing to get Forklift Certified
