About the Role
As a Solids Control Engineer at NOV Fluid Control, you will be responsible for the operation, installation, and maintenance of solids control and drilling waste management equipment. This includes optimizing equipment such as shale shakers and centrifuges to ensure minimal drill solids content within the drilling fluid. You will work closely with Company representatives and mud engineers to enhance operational performance and ensure inventory and maintenance standards are upheld. This is an international rotating role, requiring flexibility on work locations.

Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the NOV HSEQ program
- Install, operate, and maintain mechanical equipment for the oil & gas industry
- Operate all solids control and drilling waste management equipment
- Optimize shale shaker screen selection and replacement in consultation with mud engineers and Company representatives
- Manage inventory and initiate reordering of materials related to solids control
- Proactively adjust solids control systems and recommend performance enhancements
- Conduct regular equipment checks, maintenance, and repairs
- Prepare and submit daily solids control activity reports
- Adhere to local and internal QHSE regulations
Qualifications & Skills
Essential:
- Thorough knowledge of mechanical maintenance and repairs
- Good oral and written communication skills in German and English
- Good people skills
- Conversant with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Experience with Solids Control & Drilling Waste Management Equipment
- Driving licence B (car)
- VCA/SCC or MIST certification
Desirable:
- Electrical knowledge and documented training
- Experience with Drilling Fluids
- Driving licence E (trailer)
- VCA Full
- Offshore training North-Sea
