Our expertise spans across various technologies such as printers, customer engagement technology, handheld and mobile devices, security equipment, medical equipment, smart parking meters, and more.\n\nAbout the Role\n\nWe are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Field Service Engineer to handle installations, user training, and service & maintenance activities for our clients in the Yorkshire Region.
Occasional and international travel may be required. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical equipment within the Print on Demand industry, including photocopiers, laser/inkjet printers, production printers, and digital presses (Fujifilm, Ricoh, Konica Minolta, Xerox, Sharp, Canon). Excellent customer service and communication skills, along with a willingness to learn new and emerging technologies, are essential.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nRepairs: Office printers and photocopiers\nInstallation and Maintenance: Production printers\nAdditional Activities:\nSmart locker installations and maintenance\nTroubleshooting and repair of retail equipment\nInstallation of technology kiosks, including self-service technology\nCar parking & access control systems\nCall progress updates via smartphone\nAdherence to service level agreements\nAccurate tool and part management\n\nEssential Skills\n\nExperience with production printers and digital presses (e.g., Fujifilm, Ricoh, Konica Minolta, Xerox, Sharp, Canon)\nBackground in the office equipment industry\nStrong technical skills in electronics and mechanics\nProficiency in IT, including networking devices and setting up scanning functions\nFirst-class customer service with previous customer-facing experience\n\nEducation and Experience\n\nGood standard of secondary education\nProficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel\nCertification in Mechanical and Electrical/Electronics\nIdeally, an IT or engineering qualification\n\nAttributes Required\n\nPresentable and approachable with a 'can do' attitude\nPassion for work and pride in helping customers\nReliability and punctuality\nExcellent communication skills\nSelf-motivation and ability to operate on own initiative\nFlexibility for occasional weekend and out-of-hours work\n\nBenefits\n\nCompany pension\nLife insurance\nFlexible schedule\nUp to 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays with long service\nCompany events\nCareer development opportunities\nUnlimited overtime\nAs this is a field service role, you will start and finish your days at home.
