Field Service Engineer – MRI/CT Systems
Our client has been a trusted service provider for MRI and CT systems across the Gulf Coast. With a reputation built on reliability and precision, we support healthcare providers throughout Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and the Florida Panhandle.
Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Field Service Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair advanced medical imaging systems—specifically MRI and CT scanners—from major OEMs including GE, Philips, Siemens, and Hitachi. You’ll work directly with hospitals, imaging centers, and clinical staff to ensure their equipment operates at peak performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide on-site service, repair, maintenance, and calibration of MRI and CT systems.
- Diagnose technical issues both remotely and in-person using system logs and advanced diagnostic tools.
- Perform system upgrades, part replacements, and preventative maintenance.
- Collaborate with the logistics team for equipment moves and installations across town or nationwide.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding system status, timelines, and recommended service.
- Document all work performed and maintain accurate service records.
- Travel throughout the Gulf Coast region as required.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience servicing MRI/CT imaging systems; multi-vendor experience strongly (GE, Philips, Siemens, Hitachi).
- Technical degree or military equivalent in electronics, biomedical engineering, or a related field.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of RF, cryogen, and gradient systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently in the field.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel regionally.
Skills
- OEM training or certifications on MRI/CT platforms.
- Experience using remote diagnostic tools.
- Prior experience with equipment relocation or logistics support.
- Familiarity with PACS and DICOM networking.
