Job DescriptionJob Description
Job Title: Field Service Engineer (Mechanical / Electrical)
Company: Coastal Pump & Equipment
Location: Broussard, LA – Travel Required
Reports To: General Manager
Company Overview
Coastal Pump & Equipment is a fast-growing provider of industrial pump and generator rentals, supporting municipalities, contractors, disaster response teams, and industrial clients across the Gulf South. We are known for rapid mobilization, deep inventory, and top-tier service. Aside from our large oil and gas water transfer presence, Coastal plays a critical role in state emergency and infrastructure response efforts, delivering reliable equipment and technical support in high-stakes environments.
Position Summary
We’re seeking a hands-on, technically sharp Field Service Engineer to join our operations team. This role blends mechanical/electrical engineering insight with real-world field service execution. The ideal candidate can read and interpret mechanical drawings, flowcharts, and technical job scopes then help bring those plans to life both in-house and on-site. This is a rare opportunity for a mechanically inclined engineer to grow into a project management or leadership role, working on complex systems like lift stations, water transfer sites, and infrastructure response projects across Texas and Louisiana.

- Maintain documentation and job notes on project performance and technical feedback.
Continuous Improvement & Growth
- Contribute to internal training programs by documenting best practices and improving workflows.
- Stay current on equipment technology, field applications, and safety requirements.
- Participate in planning for large-scale and critical infrastructure jobs, including lift station installs and bypass pumping projects.
