Field Service Engineer - Mechanical

Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a Service Engineer with a focus on liquid filling and beverage equipment. This role involves actively participating in scheduled activities such as audits, line start-ups, and modifications. As a key member, you'll be responsible for troubleshooting, upgrades, and retrofits, ensuring seamless operations.

Responsibilities / Tasks

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct line/machine restarts post-maintenance or modification.
  • Prepare detailed technical reports on performed and upcoming activities.
  • Coordinate on-site activities with sub-contractors and external technicians.
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards during interventions, collaborating with the Site Coordinator and Service Project Manager.
  • Assist in the development of new products and upgrades, providing input on equipment layout for new projects.

Technical Expertise:

  • Lead software upgrades independently.
  • Troubleshoot complex process issues in LPT equipment.
  • Lead teams in installation and equipment commissioning.
  • Create detailed SOPs for equipment and systems.
  • Inspect, repair, and optimize beverage and filling equipment.
  • Provide technical training to customers and internal stakeholders.

    Your Profile / Qualifications

    Qualifications:

    • Mechanical Engineering Degree, Filling Equipment Certificate, or equivalent hands-on experience.
    • 10+ years of experience in liquid filling equipment installation, service, and repair.
    • Proficient in hand tools, troubleshooting software, and electrical systems.
    • Strong mechanical background with the ability to read and understand schematics.
    • Ability to lead on-site teams and work independently.
    • Fluent in English, both verbal and written.
    • Proficient with Microsoft products.

    Travel and Other Requirements:

    • Valid driver's license.
    • Willingness to travel up to 80%, including international trips.
    • Detail-oriented, self-starter, able to work with minimal direction.

    Educational Background:

    • Mechanical Engineering Degree, Filling Equipment Certificate, or equivalent years of hands on experience in mechanical work on liquid filling and / or beverage equipment.
    • 10+ years of hands on experience in a Liquid filling equipment, mechanical installation, service, and repair / troubleshooting.
