Field Service Engineer – Injection Molding & Automation

$37–$40/hour + overtime | Midwest-Based (: Illinois / Greater Chicago Area) | Up to 80% Travel

What You’ll Do

• Install and commission injection molding and automation systems

• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and PLC issues

• Deliver preventive maintenance and emergency service

• Train end-users on equipment operation and care

• Collaborate with engineering teams and provide detailed service reports

• Support software updates and robotic integration

What You Bring

• 3–5 years of experience in injection molding or related machinery

• Strong knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems

• Familiarity with industrial automation (Fanuc, ABB, conveyors, IO mapping)

• PLC experience (Siemens TIA Portal, Step7, or Allen-Bradley)

• Ability to read schematics and work independently in the field

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (technical degree/certification )

• Valid driver’s license and passport (or ability to obtain)

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and service software

• Based in the Midwest U.S. (Illinois )

• Willingness to travel up to 80%, including occasional international trips
