Field Service Engineer – Injection Molding & Automation
$37–$40/hour + overtime | Midwest-Based (: Illinois / Greater Chicago Area) | Up to 80% Travel

What You’ll Do
-
Install and commission injection molding and automation systems
-
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and PLC issues
-
Deliver preventive maintenance and emergency service
-
Train end-users on equipment operation and care
-
Collaborate with engineering teams and provide detailed service reports

Support software updates and robotic integration
What You Bring
-
3–5 years of experience in injection molding or related machinery
-
Strong knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
-
Familiarity with industrial automation (Fanuc, ABB, conveyors, IO mapping)

PLC experience (Siemens TIA Portal, Step7, or Allen-Bradley)

Ability to read schematics and work independently in the field
Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent (technical degree/certification )

Valid driver’s license and passport (or ability to obtain)

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and service software

Based in the Midwest U.S. (Illinois )

Willingness to travel up to 80%, including occasional international trips
