Field Service Engineer – Industrial Combustion Equipment
Sunman, IN | 50% Travel | Full-Time | $75,000 - $100,000

We’re looking for a Field Service Engineer to join a high-energy team that designs, installs, and supports advanced combustion systems used in specialized manufacturing processes across the U.S. You’ll be based onsite in Sunman, Indiana when not traveling — so being local or willing to relocate is a must.

This role is for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, technical environment and loves solving complex problems onsite with customers. You'll get to travel, build systems from the ground up, and become the go-to expert customers rely on — all while having fun with a supportive, close-knit team.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Travel to customer sites (50%) to install, calibrate, service, and support industrial combustion equipment and controls.

• Troubleshoot burner air-fuel ratios, tune systems, and perform safety checks.

• Build and install burner management control panels and fuel trains.

• Interpret PLC programs, electrical schematics, and mechanical drawings to diagnose and resolve technical issues.

• Design and engineer new systems or retrofits to improve safety and efficiency.

• Collaborate with internal teams and customers to ensure top-tier service and project execution.

• When not traveling, contribute onsite in Sunman, supporting shop builds and internal projects.

What You Bring:

• PLC programming or troubleshooting experience (must-have!)

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (EE, ME, MET ).

• Strong mechanical aptitude and electrical knowledge.

• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.

• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills.

• Willingness to travel 50% across the continental U.S.

• Ability to work onsite in Sunman, IN when not on the road.

• Positive attitude, team spirit, and maybe a few good jokes (yes, humor is a plus).
