This role will be responsible for supporting the South-Central US, with the ideal candidate located in either Houston, TX or Midland, TX.

MOVE FORWARD WITH USWhat you will be doing:
- In the assigned territory, provide technical service, field services and support on Franklin Electric and Pioneer products, including engines, motors, pumps, electronic drives, controls and aftermarket parts.
- Represent Franklin Electric and Pioneer at on-site installation meetings and timely resolve field issues.
- Provide technician training to local rental branches, distributors and customers.
- Perform revenue producing field services while promoting aftermarket pull-through.
- FSE will have regional responsibility to promote and grow the aftermarket business within their assigned region and support the warranty handling/warranty mitigation process.
- Provide field feedback to IES BU Leaders, Product Development and Marketing on market conditions, product enhancements, and needed upgrades.
- Prepare scopes and quotes for services, complete time sheets and write detailed trip reports for submittal to manager and customer.
- Maintain a clean and well-organized service truck. Ensure compliance with DOT standards. Maintain accurate account of Franklin/Pioneer inventory (kept on service truck).
- Perform cycle-counts and support consignment inventories with targeted customers.
- Provide customer guidance in the initial design phase and proper application of products including diesel engine pump packages, electric pump packages, line shaft turbines, electric submersibles, variable frequency drives (VFDs) and control panels.
- Develop good rapport with rental customers and distributors. The field service engineer becomes an extension of the sales team and growing the business.
- Regularly work with cross-functional teams including sales, marketing, product management, engineering and applications teams, to share product feedback and recommendations for continuous improvement.

What you need:
- Relevant technical knowledge and background. Working knowledge of water systems in general, with specific knowledge of pumps, motors, drives and controls.
- A BSEE or BSME degree . Degree may be substituted with appropriate training, background and experience.
- 3-5 years of in-depth industry experience, preferably within rental equipment market.
- Prior experience diagnosing/troubleshooting diesel engine performance required. Engine tech certification (i.e. John Deere, Deutz, other) highly .
- Experience with root cause analysis ()
- Basic experience with vibration analysis and data collection ()
- Computer skills: Basic to intermediate knowledge of electrically driven equipment and electronics Basic: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 80 percent of the time, including up to 50 percent overnight travel.
