Job Description
Are you a technically minded engineer with a passion for problem-solving and customer service? Our client are seeking a Field Service Engineer to join the Service Department, supporting a leading global provider of food production technology.\n\nThis is a hands-on role where you'll be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing specialist equipment, ensuring customers receive a professional and efficient service.\n\nWhat you'll be doing\n\nService and install a wide range of food production equipment (including slicers, mincers, packaging systems, and associated software).\nCarry out repairs on retail scales and investigate electrical, mechanical, and network-related issues.\nDeliver customer training on equipment use and best practice.\nManage and maintain effective stock levels of spare parts.\nEnsure company vehicle, tools, and equipment are kept in excellent condition.\nComplete all required administration, reports, and compliance documentation to a high standard.\nAttend training courses and maintain up-to-date Health & Safety qualifications.\nParticipate in out-of-hours work and occasional overnight stays when required.\nSupport rollout and refit activities in line with business needs. \n\nWhat we're looking for\n\nProven technical background, ideally supported by a relevant qualification.\nStrong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise multiple objectives.\nAttention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.\nTeam player who shares knowledge and builds trust with colleagues and customers.\nConfidence to contribute ideas, remain calm under pressure, and assert yourself positively.\nWillingness to travel across the UK and work outside standard hours when needed.\nFull, valid UK driving licence.
