Job Description
Job Title: Plant Fitter - Field Service
Location: Aberdeen
Pay: £16.00 - £17.50 per hour (depending on experience)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 42 hours per week (40 basic + 2 at enhanced rate)

Are you a skilled Plant Fitter who enjoys working on the go? We're looking for an experienced Field Service Plant Fitter to join our team in Aberdeen. This role is all about providing high-quality maintenance and repair support to our customers - keeping their equipment running smoothly and safely, wherever the job takes you.

You'll be the face of the business on-site, delivering fast, professional service and ensuring our machinery continues to meet the high standards our clients expect.
\n\n ️ What You'll Be Doing\n

Carry out on-site diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on a variety of plant hire machinery.
\n
- \n
Respond to breakdowns quickly and effectively to minimise downtime.
\n
- \n
Identify faults across mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
\n
- \n
Ensure all work is completed safely and to manufacturer specifications.
\n
- \n
Maintain detailed service records and communicate job updates clearly.
\n
- \n
Represent the company professionally while working independently in the field.
\n
- \n
Escalate complex technical issues when necessary and assist the wider service team when required.
\n

\n\n✅ What We're Looking For\n

Recognised qualifications in mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical engineering (City & Guilds, NVQ, HND, or equivalent).
\n
- \n
Proven experience as a plant fitter, service engineer, or similar role working with heavy plant or construction equipment.
\n
- \n
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
\n
- \n
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
\n
- \n
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
\n
- \n
Full UK driving licence and a strong commitment to Health & Safety.
