About the Role\nAs a Field Service Engineer at Procon Engineering (part of NOV Rig Equipment), you will be the frontline expert, delivering precision calibration, commissioning, and repair services across customer sites throughout the UK. In this home-based role, you will travel daily to cover customer sites in the South East of England to undertake your work. Working autonomously, you’ll address complex challenges in process weighing and measurement systems, ensuring critical equipment is brought back online with accuracy and efficiency.

Our commitment to delivering high-quality products and services makes us a trusted partner for industrial solutions worldwide.\nWhat We Offer\nCompetitive salary and overtime available.\nCompany vehicle, tools, and equipment provided.\nFull training on advanced calibration technologies.\nClear pathway for technical development.\nSupportive and safety-first team culture.\nTravel variety and hands-on engineering challenge.\nKey Responsibilities\nCalibrate, commission, and troubleshoot on-site process weighing systems using F1/M1 test weights, flow meters, and force calibration rigs.\nInstall and commission belt weighers and boiler leak detection systems.\nCalibrate instruments for temperature, pressure, pH, conductivity, and magnet strength.\nPerform off-site repairs of scales and balances at Procon HQ.\nComplete service reports and calibration certificates before leaving site.\nEnsure compliance with all NOV/Procon HSE policies and procedures.\nOccasional Duties:\nSupport assembly and testing at HQ as needed.\nProvide weekend cover (one in every three Saturdays).\nCollaborate with or support fellow engineers on joint service jobs.\nTravel and overnight stays across the UK as required.\nQualifications & Skills\nEssential Qualifications & Experience:\nONC or equivalent in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (HNC ).\nTime-served engineer or equivalent hands-on field experience.\nStrong background in service/calibration of process weighing equipment.\nComfortable working under pressure and independently.\nWillingness to travel throughout the UK and stay overnight as needed.\nDesirable:\nExperience in temperature calibration.\nExposure to food hygiene environments.\nKnowledge of scales and systems used in silos, platforms, and industrial control.\nTechnical Skills:\nProficient in fault finding on weighing systems.\nFamiliarity with electrical diagnostics and calibration equipment.\nAbility to read and interpret technical documentation.\nInterpersonal Skills (Optional)\nExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal.\nStrong problem-solving abilities and troubleshooting skills.\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team.\nStrong customer service focus, with a commitment to quality.\nNote:\nThis role requires flexibility for travel, occasional overnight stays, and scheduled weekend availability.
