The role


We're looking for a Field Service Engineer to support the full life cycle of advanced mechanical testing equipment. You'll install, calibrate, maintain, and repair systems on-site while also training end users and identifying service opportunities. This is a field-based role covering the UK however they do try and keep the work as local as possible. Expectations are approximately 2 days a week staying away.

Requirements:

  • Recognised engineering qualification
  • Strong mechanical and/or electronic diagnostic/fault-finding skills
  • Able to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Comfortable working independently in the field
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Willingness to travel frequently, including training in the UK and Germany
  • Full UK Driving License
  • Right to work without the need for sponsorship

Desirable:

  • HNC/Degree in Mechatronics, Electronics or similar
  • Knowledge of materials testing, PLCs, hydraulics or closed-loop control
  • Calibration and workshop/fitting experience

  • £35,000 - £40,000 salary depending on experience
