Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Field Radio Technician to provide nationwide inspection, maintenance, repair, and technical support for mission-critical radio communication systems. This position requires 100% travel to sites across the country to ensure operational readiness of field equipment and infrastructure.


Responsibilities

  • Install, inspect, maintain, and repair radio equipment, antennas, cabling, and associated systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues to restore functionality and minimize downtime.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance to extend the lifecycle of communication assets.
  • Provide on-site testing, validation, and technical support for radio and transmission systems.
  • Document maintenance, repairs, and inspection results in accordance with company requirements.
  • Adhere to all safety and security standards during field operations.

Requirements:

  • 3–5 years of experience working with radio frequency (RF) systems, two-way radios, HF/VHF/UHF communications, or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of experience in field communications support within public safety, military, or critical infrastructure environments
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., FCC General Radiotelephone Operator License, ETA, CompTIA RF, etc.) are a plus.
  • Experience with Rockwell Collins URG III & URG IV radio systems, .
  • Strong background in troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of radio and electronic systems.
  • Ability to travel 100% of the time to sites across the U.S.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in remote field conditions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting and documentation.
  • Must be able to pass a background investigation and obtain a Public Trust clearance.
