Field Piping Engineer or Technical Professional

This is a site-based rotational position.The Piping Engineer is responsible for representing Wood at site for Piping engineering and design related field queries. The candidate will coordinate the field engineering queries with Client and Construction Contractor. The candidate shall have sufficient Piping Mechanical experience as related to: Piping design, layouts, materials, metallurgy, stress and support, understand the field queries, review Project specifications and engineering work packages along with issuing construction drawings to understand the gap and respond to field queries after consulting the engineer of record where needed. The candidate shall flag to the Project leadership team if and when a basic multidiscipline change is needed or proposed by a Construction Contractor. Ensure compliance to Safety procedures. Be responsible towards Project Management in resolving RFI's coming from the Construction Contractor. Ensure alignment and smooth coordination with Head office, Engineer of record and Client and Construction contractor. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with Piping/Mechanical related subjects Additional learning in Piping Engineering related subjects, Safety related subjects, Welding, NDE etc. Experience in Oil and Gas or/and Downstream Hydrocarbon sector Projects of minimum 3 years. Experience in Piping design, stress and materials related detailed engineering. Good all round communication skills. Understand thoroughness in Safety procedures.
