Role Overview


The Manufacturing Logistics Field Lead Operator supports the Manufacturing Logistics Supervisor by directly overseeing on-site logistics operations. This role is responsible for ensuring smooth execution of material handling, warehouse operations, shipping activities, and safety compliance, while providing hands-on leadership to hourly team members.


Responsibilities


  • Supervise and coordinate daily logistics activities, including material receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping.
  • Provide real-time direction and support to team members to maintain smooth and efficient workflows.
  • Ensure all tasks are performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
  • Maintain high standards of inventory accuracy and material handling quality.
  • Communicate regularly with the Logistics Supervisor regarding operational status, issues, and team performance.
  • Assist with on-the-job training and onboarding of new team members, ensuring they understand operational procedures and safety requirements.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the work area to identify potential safety hazards or inefficiencies and take corrective action as needed.
  • Track daily performance metrics and provide feedback to team members to foster accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Support problem-solving on the shop floor, addressing any logistical challenges or equipment malfunctions promptly.
  • Serve as a role model for teamwork, safety awareness, and productivity.


Experience


  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience working in a team oriented environment
  • At least 2-3 years of of experience in a warehouse, logistics, or distribution environment, with at least 1 year in a lead or supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, including receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory control.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and barcode scanning technology.
  • Ability to read and interpret work orders, safety rules, and procedural documents.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
  • Flexible to work different shifts or overtime as needed.
  • Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures and noise levels

Working Hours:


  • Day Shift: 05:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Night Shift: 5:00 PM – 05:00 AM


Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
