Field Operations Manager - Structural Steel & Miscellaneous Metals

Location: So. Cal.

About the Role: RND Contractors Inc. is seeking an experienced Field Operations Manager to lead our structural steel and miscellaneous metals erection teams. This key role oversees multiple job sites, ensuring projects are executed safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.

Overview of Duties:

• Lead and manage superintendents, foremen, and ironworker crews.
• Plan manpower and equipment needs to meet project demands.
• Ensure compliance with AISC, AWS, SJI, and OSHA standards.
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress, resolve issues, and support field teams.
• Drive a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
• Report on job progress, labor performance, and safety metrics.

Requirements:

• 7+ years in structural steel erection, with 3+ years in field management.
• Strong knowledge of steel erection, rigging, crane operations, and logistics.
• OSHA 30 required; additional rigging/safety certifications a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret structural drawings and specifications.
• Valid driver's license
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) but not required.
