Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDay in the life — Forklift Technician Level 1 (Mobile), Tucson, AZ
You start your day by checking your route and loading your company vehicle with tools and parts. First stop: a customer facility where you perform a preventive maintenance check on a propane lift truck, complete a safety inspection, and log everything on your tablet. By midday, you’ve diagnosed a hydraulic leak, documented the issue, communicated the plan with the customer, and captured the repair details for accurate records. In the afternoon, you collaborate with teammates to streamline a recurring process, finish a few more inspections, and close the day by reviewing upcoming service bulletins to stay current on forklift technology.
Important: This is a technician role, not a forklift driving position.
What you’ll handle
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Identify, document, and report mechanical issues clearly and promptly.
- Conduct safety inspections to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Maintain precise service records for every maintenance and repair activity.
- Deliver professional, on-site customer service at client locations around Tucson and nearby areas.
- Work with teammates to improve workflows and elevate service quality.
- Keep pace with industry trends and new developments in forklift technology.
What you bring
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in mechanics is a plus (not required).
- Foundational understanding of forklift operation and maintenance.
- Sharp troubleshooting ability and strong attention to detail.
- Self-directed with solid time-management skills.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Clear, professional communication and customer-service mindset.
- Willingness to travel to multiple job sites as needed.
