FIELD LEAD - STRUCTURAL STEEL INSTALLATION

A-1 Steel is seeking a qualified and dependable field lead to oversee structural steel installation on commercial and industrial projects. This is a hands-on role for someone who takes ownership of the jobsite and knows how to run a crew efficiently.

Responsibilities Include:

• Leading day-to-day crew operations for steel erection
• Reading and interpreting erection plans and shop drawings
• Coordinating with project managers and equipment operators
• Ensuring safety compliance and quality standards are met
• Maintaining schedule and jobsite organization

Background:

• Proven experience leading field crews on steel installation projects
• Strong skills in layout, rigging, bolt-up, and on-site adjustments
• Ability to manage both people and timelines effectively
• Works well in a team-focused, results-driven environment
• Experience with different types of welding techniques
• OSHA 10 required
