Shifts Available:

  • 1st shift, 6a-7a start

90-Day temp to perm position.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Construct and install iron or steel frameworks for structures like buildings and/or bridges. Responsible for fabricating, welding, joining, erecting and/or repairing equipment, fixtures, and structures by using various welding and construction techniques; managing the machines that handle, manufacture and repair metal structures, tools, and equipment; and follows all safety protocols in performing duties.

  • Knowledge of welding techniques, (oxygen-acetylene, electric arc, and TIG), tools and equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and models to understand and execute project requirements to ensure accurate construction. 
  • Knowledge and understanding and comfortably operating a telehandler, equipment lifts, scaffolding, hand tools, cleaning utensils, painting supplies, and related work objects. 
  • Work at heights with balance and coordination to conduct work tasks. 
  • Lift and carry heavy objects, and works under conditions of restricted movement, a dirty environment, air contamination, intense noise, and hazardous materials. 
  • Ability to keep hand and arm steady while moving the arm or while holding the hand in one position. 
  • Ability to safely and properly lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds. 
  • Understand strict safety regulations such as lifting, proper use of tools, wearing heat-resistant gloves, protective masks, and safety shoes.
  • Able to complete job tasks safely and effectively without constant supervision.
  • Work closely with others in a team environment.


 LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, OR REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED:

  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record



KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Bilingual but not required 
  • Requires a minimum of six years of welding experience and completion of an accredited two-year welder's training program; or equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which
    comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
  • Ability to read blueprints to determine the locations, quantities, and sizes of materials required
  • Rigging experience, a plus
  • Sufficient education or an equivalent combination of experience, education and training that provides the desired knowledge, skills, and characteristics to perform duties of the role
