Field Engineer in Montgomery
Job DescriptionJob DescriptionThe Field Engineer will play a critical role in supporting project execution by assisting with technical aspects, coordinating on-site activities, ensuring quality control, and maintaining safety standards.
Principal Duties and Accountabilities:
- Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of mechanical construction projects.
- Interpret project plans, specifications, and schedules to ensure alignment with project goals.
- Work closely with the Project Manager and Superintendent to track project progress and resolve issues.
- Provide technical support and troubleshoot challenges that arise in the field.
- Coordinate material deliveries, inspections, and site logistics.
- Conduct field measurements and verify installation accuracy against design specifications.
- Assist in quality control processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies.
- Monitor and enforce job site safety in accordance with OSHA and company safety guidelines.
- Support project documentation, including RFIs, change orders, and daily reports.
- Communicate effectively with all stakeholders to facilitate smooth project execution.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field ; equivalent experience will be considered.
- 1-3 years of experience in mechanical construction or related industry .
Knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, including HVAC, piping, and plumbing.
- Familiarity with construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Proficiency in project management software, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on construction environment.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and industry best practices.
Physical and/or travel demands:
- Ability to work in an outdoor construction environment, including exposure to varying weather conditions.
- Ability to walk, stand, and climb ladders or scaffolding as required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. when necessary.
