Job Summary

Alpine Communication, LLC is seeking a Field Data Collector to join our Field department. This job involves working outside to collect information about utility poles and the equipment attached to them, such as phone and cable lines (we do not climb poles). Field Data Collectors use an iPad, measuring tools, and a camera to take photos and record accurate information. The work requires traveling to different job sites across Florida and occasionally out of state.

We are willing to train people without experience however, applicants must be able to follow instructions, pay close attention to detail, keep records organized, and work on their own. It is necessary to have your own vehicle, be reliable, meet deadlines, and be comfortable with regular travel around Florida and to other states when needed. In addition, you must successfully complete our pre-employment drug screening and background check.

Requirements

  • Work outdoors to measure and audit attachments on utility poles
  • Must have your own reliable vehicle to drive to sites near Florida and throughout
  • Must be willing to occasionally travel outside of the state when necessary
  • The role is physically demanding and includes standing, walking, lifting, and carrying heavy equipment (up to 25 pounds) while working outdoors in all types of weather.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and a reliable vehicle
  • Strong attention to detail and observational skills
  • Ability to read and interpret maps
  • Reliable, accountable, and able to meet deadlines
  • Comfortable working independently in outdoor environments (hot and cold temperatures)
  • Willingness to travel regularly for work across the state

Work Environment:

  • Field-based position with daily travel to job sites across Florida (in your personal vehicle, mileage is reimbursed.)
  • Flexible 8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday
