Job Description

Field based installation engineer in the south midlands

£38k (£43k OTE) based on experience

We supply automated environmental monitoring systems for noise, vibration and dust/air quality emissions.  The primary market is the construction industry and prior experience working on or around construction sites is an advantage. CSCS, working from height, health and safety and PPE training will be provided as necessary. A fully expensed van is part of the package.

Ideally you are located in the Leicester – Coventry – Lutterworth area. Most of the installation sites will be in the North and there will be occasions requiring an overnight stay. You will make a couple of trips a week to our offices in Great Dunmow, Essex, where you will collect equipment for the next several days work and/or drop equipment off that you have collected from construction sites.

Responsibilities

• Attend construction sites to install / decommission environmental monitoring equipment.
• Complete a site visit report that lists the equipment and accessories installed and obtain customer signature
• Check the shared calendar and communicate with your line manager for the “next job”

Requirements and skills

• Proven experience working on or around construction sites.  
• Health & Safety training will be provided. PPE and tools will be issued.
• Ability to carry 25Kg of equipment from the van to the installation site.
• Clean driving licence and experience driving around the country for work.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Outstanding negotiation skills with the ability to resolve issues and address complaints

This is a field-based role with weekly travel to our head office in Great Dunmow, Essex
