Summary
We are seeking a highly responsible and organized Field Compliance Operations Inspector to visit 1–2 of our gas station locations each day. You’ll ensure stores are operating according to company standards and in compliance with regulatory, safety, and cleanliness requirements. You’ll serve as our eyes and ears in the field and play a critical role in maintaining operational excellence.
Duties
Key Responsibilities:
Review and verify on-site paperwork and licenses
Check for unauthorized or suspicious EBT transactions
Monitor expiration dates and ensure expired items are pulled
Inspect store cleanliness, merchandising, and planogram adherence
Confirm product stocking and display accuracy
Check that all required inspections are up-to-date (Fire, Health, Grease Trap, Hood)
Verify all business licenses are current and visible
Identify maintenance issues and follow up on resolution
Inspect all equipment for performance and required upkeep
Inspect parking lot, landscaping, and exterior presentation
Check gas pumps, tank covers, flow levels, and equipment
Ensure exterior and interior lighting is functional
Test COAM (coin-operated amusement machines) for operability and damage
Review active lottery packs and confirm controls are in place
Perform skimmer checks on card readers
Review MercuryOne reports and verify they are up to date
Compare cash on hand vs register reports and safe counts
Check posted signs for compliance with state and company policies
Ensure no sensitive company information is left unsecured (e.g., checks, account details)
Conduct regular fuel inspection documentation and reviews
Requirements
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel daily (mileage reimbursed)
1–3 years experience in retail, gas station, or compliance/auditing roles
Strong attention to detail and follow-through
Familiarity with POS systems and basic operations reports (MercuryOne experience a plus)
Ability to complete daily reports, photos, and issue summaries via tablet or mobile device
Must be comfortable working independently and interacting with on-site managers
Benefits
Base Salary: $37,000–$45,000 per year (based on experience)
Mileage and gas reimbursement for all travel
