Amphenol High Speed and Commercial Products Groups are global leaders in high-speed, high-bandwidth electrical connectors. This role supports our Strategic Markets team — including Automotive, Industrial, and Consumer segments. Our products help power the electronics revolution and serve as key enablers for major Tier 1 OEMs worldwide.
We are seeking a Field Applications Engineer (FAE) to join our West Coast team, based in Santa Clara, CA. This position plays a vital role in supporting our customers by delivering innovative interconnect solutions and technical expertise.
Responsibilities

Serve as the technical lead within the sales team, managing all engineering aspects of the sales cycle — from discovery and design to prototyping and production.

Collaborate with customers, product development, marketing, and sales teams to deliver best-in-class interconnect solutions.

Provide technical marketing support for the design and development of commercial products, including high-voltage, low-voltage, Ethernet, rugged, and industrial solutions.

Develop and deliver technical presentations and customer-facing materials tailored to specific applications.

Support customers with technical inquiries, providing innovative solutions to meet their design and production needs.

Contribute to product differentiation strategies that strengthen Amphenol’s competitive advantage.

Help achieve and exceed strategic and business objectives.

Travel up to 30% domestically, with occasional international travel as required.
Education & Experience
-
Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline or equivalent technical field.

majors: Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Science.

Minimum 2+ years of experience in Design or Applications Engineering within the electrical hardware or interconnect solutions industry.

Proven experience providing technical and product marketing support to drive design wins.
