Manufacturing and packaging company in Hunt Valley seeks experienced Machine Operator- Packaging Manufacturing for our operations.

 1st shift is 5:45am-2:30pm and 2nd shift is 2:15-11:00pm, Monday-Friday and occasional weekends.

Ideal candidates should have the following skills:

1) Experience with high-speed production equipment and ability to perform machine trouble shooting, proper repairs, minor adjustments and machine changeovers.

2) Experience/ familiarity with horizontal & vertical flexible packaging equipment designed for the manufacture of safe quality products while demonstrating the knowledge and adherence of GMP Policies, Food Safety, and Food Defense Prerequisite programs (SQF, HACCP etc.).

3) Ability to ensure adherence of line specific S.O.P’s.

4) Maintain all Quality and line paperwork required.

5) Good communication skills.

6) Willingness to perform proper sanitation on utensils, equipment and facilities utilized.

7) Ability to work without supervision.

Hourly Rate
Pay: $15.50 - $16 per hour

Responsibilities 

  • Perform routine safety and maintenance checks prior to each production cycle. 
  • Calibrate, adjust settings, and clean machines to ensure good operating conditions
  • Use precision tools to inspect parts
  • Troubleshoot any issues that may arise during production
  • Feed raw materials through machines
  • Monitor output to ensure it meets quality control standards
  • Maintain detailed records of activity logs, defective units, and final products

Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED
  • Technical certification or degree is but not required
  • Previous experience as a machine operator is
  • Familiarity with industrial machinery and production procedures is
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and manuals
  • Attention to detail and excellent hand-eye coordination
  • Ability to adhere to all safety rules and regulations
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including lifting heavy objects, digging, and standing for long periods
