Position Details:

Title: Factory Automation Engineer I - Mechatronics Engineering // Programming & Test Engineer
Location: 18600 S. John Deere Road, Dubuque, IA - 52001
Duration: 15 Months (possible extension)

Details:

• Work will be fully onsite.
• 3+ years of experience integrating testing hardware and software in a production environment.
• 3+ years of expert-level experience in controls and electrical systems.
• 2+ years of experience analyzing CAN logs to diagnose machine issues and drive troubleshooting solutions.
• 2+ years of experience with device connectivity, industrial networking, and security, including protocols such as OPC, OPC UA, MQTT, Modbus, and RFID.
• Proven experience delivering new technology into production environments.

Strong communication skills with the ability to:

• Collaborate effectively with technical teams at an engineering level
• Communicate technical strategy and vision to leadership
• Ability to think creatively and develop innovative processes and solutions to complex problems
• Experience designing and building custom tooling and test stands
• Electrical and/or electronic engineering background
• Prior experience with Construction & Forestry vehicle systems
