Job Summary:
As a Facility and Project Manager, you’ll play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing our portfolio of buildings and infrastructure. You’ll oversee day-to-day facility operations, lead capital improvement and construction projects, and ensure compliance with all relevant codes and standards. This is a hands-on leadership role that blends strategic planning with operational execution.
Key Responsibilities:
Facilities Management:
- Oversee daily operations and maintenance of buildings, grounds, and equipment across multiple sites.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs and schedules.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and building codes and regulations.
- Manage vendor contracts for services including HVAC, janitorial, landscaping, and more.
- Monitor energy usage and lead sustainability initiatives.
Construction & Project Management:
- Plan and execute renovation, expansion, and new construction projects.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and local authorities.
- Develop project scopes, budgets, and timelines.
- Monitor construction progress and ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Resolve issues related to permits, inspections, and site logistics.
Budgeting & Reporting:
- Create and manage budgets for facilities operations and capital projects.
- Track expenditures and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Provide regular reports to senior leadership on project status, maintenance, and repairs.
Team Leadership:
- Supervise and support maintenance staff and construction teams.
- Provide training and enforce safety protocols.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Perform additional duties assigned by direct supervisor and upper-level management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, facilities management, engineering, or related field .
- Minimum 7 years of experience in maintenance or facilities management, across a geographically dispersed portfolio.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, codes, and safety regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematic diagrams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, Yardi, and project management tools (e.g., Procore, MS Project).
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation may be required.
- Ability to travel frequently across the U.S.
Physical Requirements & Work Conditions:
- Ability to walk, stand, bend, climb ladders, and lift to 50 lbs. as needed.
- Comfortable working in a variety of environments including active construction sites, mechanical rooms, rooftops, and outdoor areas.
- May be exposed to varying weather conditions during site visits and inspections.
- Must be able to safely navigate job sites and adhere to all safety protocols.
- Frequent travel required across continental U.S., including overnight stays.
- Occasional evening or weekend work may be necessary to meet project deadlines or respond to urgent facility issues.
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle and maintain a valid driver’s license.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary: $95,000-$125,000 annually.
