Position: Facility Maintenance Specialist

Our partners cannabis company is looking for a Facility Maintenance Specialist to join their team in St. Louis, MO. The Facility Maintenance Specialist ensures the proper function of the buildings and equipment to meet the needs of the team. They will do so by maintaining a safe, clean, and functional environment in compliance with health, safety, and food safety standards. This role covers facility and fleet upkeep, preventative and reactive maintenance, and general operational support.

Schedule and Pay

• Monday–Friday, 5:00 am – 2:00pm
• Starting at $25/hour

Key Responsibilities

• Perform and coordinate facility and equipment repairs, upgrades, and maintenance (carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, painting, etc.)
• Monitor equipment performance and maintain adequate inventory
• Maintain facility grounds and physical spaces
• Use CMMS to log, track, and complete tasks
• Oversee vehicle maintenance, documentation, and scheduling of repairs
• Conduct regular safety and quality inspections of facilities, equipment, and inventory
• Meet regularly with team to assess goals and progress
• Complete assigned tasks efficiently and to a high standard
• Perform additional duties as needed to support operations

Qualifications

• 2+ years in facilities and fleet maintenance, or equivalent education/experience
• Knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing) preferred
• Experience maintaining small engines, heavy equipment, and light trucks
• Forklift Certified or willing to be certified
• Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills
• Proficient in Google Workspace
• Able to communicate effectively in English, verbally and in writing
• Basic math skills
• Must be 21+, pass a background check, and hold any required state licenses/certifications
• ServSafe Food Handler’s Card preferred
• Willing to travel occasionally between sites

Due to the regulated nature of the cannabis industry, there are compliance guidelines we must follow. Please be aware of the following:

• You must obtain a Facility Agent card prior to starting
• There is a $130 out of pocket cost to obtain the FA card (reimbursed at 30-days)
• Must be able to pass a fingerprint background check (no felonies or misdemeanors)
• Once fingerprints are received, approval typically takes 2–3 weeks.
