An experienced Facility Commissioning Manager is sought to lead the commissioning phase of major facility expansion and modernization projects at a large-scale pharmaceutical manufacturing site in Kalundborg—one of the world’s most advanced production hubs. This role is critical in ensuring that new or upgraded facilities are brought online safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with GMP standards, corporate requirements, and project goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and execute commissioning activities across multiple systems, including HVAC, clean and black utilities, and building management systems.
- Develop and manage commissioning documentation (plans, protocols, test scripts, etc.) in alignment with internal procedures, GMP, and regulatory requirements.
- Serve as the primary commissioning contact for engineering, construction, CQV, and operations teams.
- Review design documentation to incorporate commissioning needs early in the project lifecycle.
- Oversee FAT/SAT coordination and ensure resolution of punch list items.
- Facilitate the transition from construction completion to CQV handover.
- Manage third-party commissioning contractors and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and project timelines.
- Participate in risk assessments, readiness reviews, and post-project evaluations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in commissioning management within pharmaceutical, biotech, life sciences, or industrial settings.
- In-depth knowledge of GMP, validation protocols, and cleanroom standards.
- Demonstrated experience with large-scale facility and utility systems in regulated environments.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills in a cross-functional, multicultural environment.
