Job Description
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Facility Manager to lead and oversee maintenance and repair operations at a single community installation. This role is responsible for ensuring operational excellence, team performance, and high levels of satisfaction through effective leadership and strategic planning.
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and direction for day-to-day maintenance operations, including staff supervision, financial tracking, employee development, and customer service delivery
- Conduct routine property inspections to maintain quality standards and ensure all assets are properly maintained
- Anticipate maintenance requirements and implement scheduling strategies to maximize team efficiency and timely project completion
- Support and participate in community engagement initiatives and company-sponsored events as needed
- Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing maintenance team aligned with organizational goals
- Collaborate with military leadership and internal project teams to evaluate and enhance maintenance programs and performance metrics
- Monitor budgets, analyze operational data, and partner with leadership to ensure financial and service targets are achieved
- Review and improve operational procedures to increase efficiency and effectiveness
- Develop and implement updated maintenance policies that promote safety, service quality, and operational standards
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; associate degree
- Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in facilities or property management
- Strong knowledge of maintenance operations, budgeting, forecasting, and vendor/bid management
- Demonstrated leadership, communication, and customer service skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel); experience with Yardi is a plus
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations, building codes, and environmental compliance standards (Hazmat, EPA, Universal Waste)
- HVAC Universal Certification is a plus
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required
