The Branch Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the assigned facility, which includes chemical handling and sales, water treatment processes, fleet management (dewatering boxes, carbon vessels, pumps, hoses), and onsite equipment maintenance. This role also leads the phased development of the facility, coordinating with internal teams and external vendors to ensure timely execution, regulatory compliance, and operational readiness.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day facility operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant handling of chemicals and equipment.
- Oversee maintenance, repair, and deployment of dewatering boxes, pumps, hoses, and other essential equipment.
- Lead facility buildout efforts, including infrastructure planning, contractor coordination, procurement, and schedule management.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and preventive maintenance programs to ensure long-term reliability.
- Act as the primary liaison among operations, engineering, sales, and safety teams.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal environmental and safety regulations.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify opportunities for process improvements.
- Recruit, train, and manage facility personnel.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Industrial Operations, or a related field ; equivalent experience considered in lieu of education.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in facilities management, field services, or industrial operations, preferably in water treatment or environmental services.
- Proven experience managing capital projects or facility buildouts from inception to completion.
- Strong knowledge of water treatment systems, mobile equipment, and chemical handling protocols.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and vendor management capabilities.
- Proficient in budget management, technical drawing interpretation, and regulatory permitting processes.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet).
- OSHA or other relevant safety certifications are a plus.
