Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and general upkeep of our buildings, equipment, and grounds. This role is essential in keeping our facilities safe, comfortable, and fully operational.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and perform scheduled upkeep.

  • Respond to maintenance requests, prioritizing safety and urgency.

  • Maintain and repair facilities, equipment, furniture, fixtures, and exterior areas.

  • Assist with equipment/furniture moves, installations, and setups.

  • Monitor facility systems, troubleshoot minor issues, and coordinate contractors.

  • Perform general repairs: electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, drywall, and masonry.

  • Conduct routine grounds maintenance and landscaping.

  • Support emergency response, building evacuations, and safety protocols.

  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure compliance with safety standards.

  • Provide guidance and support to staff on maintenance-related safety or procedures.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Valid Wisconsin Driver’s License and CPR Certification required.

  • General knowledge of maintenance practices and ability to use hand/power tools.

  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals.

  • Strong problem-solving skills; ability to work independently and under pressure.

  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, stoop, stretch, and work in variable conditions.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to maintain professional relationships.
