We're looking for a highly skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team and help ensure the smooth operation of our manufacturing equipment and building systems.

Position Overview:

The Facilities Maintenance Technician plays a vital role in overseeing and executing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repairing equipment breakdowns, coordinating with external contractors, and supporting overall facility upkeep. A key responsibility includes maintenance and technical support of our Lonati knitting machines, essential to our production process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and execute equipment Planned Maintenance (PM) schedules to ensure optimal equipment performance and reduce downtime
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues on production equipment, including Lonati knitting machines
• Perform general facilities maintenance including lighting, plumbing, HVAC support, and building repairs
• Coordinate with and oversee external contractors and vendors for specialized facility repairs or services
• Maintain detailed records of repairs, PMs, and part usage in maintenance logs or CMMS
• Ensure compliance with all safety standards and protocols (OSHA, company policies)
• Assist in ongoing facility improvement projects, including layout changes and utility upgrades
• Respond to urgent repair needs to minimize disruption to operations
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support the operational and facilities teams

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training or certifications
• Minimum 2+ years experience in industrial or facilities maintenance
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams
• Familiarity with basic carpentry, plumbing, and HVAC systems
• Strong organizational and documentation skills
• Comfortable working with minimal supervision in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical tasks, including standing, climbing, and kneeling
• Willingness to work overtime or respond to off-hour emergencies as needed

Qualifications:

• Experience in a textile or knitting manufacturing environment
• CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) experience
