Facilities Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities:

• Performs general facility repairs, maintenance, and installations which may include but not be limited to electrical, plumbing / pipe fitting, welding, sheet metal, carpentry, painting or mechanical.
• Troubleshoots and resolves issues with plumbing, mechanical and electrical systems.
• Builds power cords for equipment; air hoses, etc.
• Resets and troubleshoots circuit breaker failures.
• Repairs equipment such as pallet jacks, ladders and benches.
• Repairs and adds air lines to work areas.
• Deploys changes and/or removes employee or workstation telephones/extensions.
• Changes and/or updates the company's security equipment.
• Sets up cubicles, pallet racking, special meeting areas per specifications/work order requests.
• Conducts preventive maintenance inspections and performs required preventive maintenance actions such as lubrication, cleaning, filter changes etc.

Qualifications:

• High school graduate with five years directly related experience or three years with Journey level license or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Knowledge of hand and power tools.
• Must be able to climb ladders.
• Must be able to work from blueprints, schematic sketches, and/or oral/written instructions.
