Facilities Maintenance 

Brookhaven, GA

Contract with the possibility of becoming permanent: $18/hr

7am to 3:30 pm, Monday-Friday

Responsibilities

• Maintain building systems including interior/exterior lighting,
• Light work orders including but not limited to changing light fixtures, tiles, patchwork, room set-ups, breakdowns, transporting equipment etc. 
• Patrol building exteriors for garbage, sweep lots and walkways as needed
• Manage time effectively, and perform work in a safe and professional manner
• Estimate time and extent of repairs
• Report any facility problems to the immediate supervisor

Requirements

• Knowledge of types and uses of common hand and power tools, materials, and standard equipment used in groundskeeping, facility maintenance, construction, and repairs
• Knowledge of maintenance and construction methods related to parks, athletic fields, and recreation equipment.
• Knowledge of precautions necessary to work safely with tools and mechanized equipment and around the public.
• Ability to perform manual tasks involving physical strength and endurance under variable weather conditions including working with herbicides and around extreme heat.
• Ability to work effectively with coworkers and the general public
• Ability to work independently with little supervision
• Ability to conform to grooming and dress codes (uniforms furnished).
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen
• A valid Georgia Driver’s License is required upon appointment
