Are you a hands-on problem solver who enjoys working across multiple trades to keep buildings operating at their best? We're looking for a Facilities Technician to join our team and take on a vital role in maintaining safe, functional, and well-kept spaces.

In this role, you’ll handle a variety of repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting tasks involving electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and more. You’ll also support preventive maintenance efforts and help ensure the integrity and security of our facilities.

What You’ll Do

  • Diagnose and repair issues across trades—plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general maintenance.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on building systems, equipment, and fixtures.
  • Use ladders, hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic instruments safely and effectively.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Install, service, and repair door hardware and locking mechanisms.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve common electrical issues—replace switches, outlets, ballasts, and light fixtures.
  • Handle basic plumbing needs like unclogging drains, fixing leaks, and replacing fixtures.
  • Travel between multiple sites to support ongoing facility needs (as required).

Requirements

What You’ll Bring

  • Basic computer literacy to manage maintenance logs and work order systems.
  • Familiarity with OSHA regulations and strong awareness of workplace safety.
  • Solid mechanical aptitude with strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Sharp attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality work.
  • Excellent time management and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work independently.
  • Valid driver’s license (required for multi-site responsibilities).

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and materials.
  • Comfortable working on ladders, in tight spaces, and at varying heights.
  • Able to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical labor for extended periods.

Benefits

Schedule - 20 hours per week. 5 hours per day. Start time after 10:00 AM CST - Tuesday - Friday

Pay Rate: $23.00 per hour

6-month contract with possibility of converting to permanent
