Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are seeking a hands-on Facilities Maintenance Lead to oversee daily operations, ensure compliance, and keep our facilities running safely, efficiently, and reliably.
Job responsibilities:
- Use job-related computer software (email, scheduling, timekeeping) at a proficient level.
- Work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple priorities.
- Collaborate with staff, vendors, and contractors to coordinate and oversee repairs and renovation projects.
- Manage and schedule daily maintenance activities, including inspections, preventive maintenance, and emergency repairs, to ensure facility efficiency and minimal downtime.
- Supervise and mentor facility staff, providing training, guidance, and performance feedback.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and environmental regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, work orders, inventory, and equipment.
- Respond promptly to facility-related emergencies and coordinate resolution efforts.
- Communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats to receive and respond to assignments.
- Oversee inventory and departmental budgets, ensuring accurate stock control and cost-effective operations.
- Follow oral and written instructions and maintain strong working relationships.
- Demonstrate strong time management skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or associate degree in facilities management, electrical, mechanical, or a related field .
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in facilities maintenance or a related technical field.
- Proven experience supervising or leading a maintenance team.
- Solid knowledge of building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical equipment.
- Understanding of both low-voltage and high-voltage electrical components.
- Familiarity with safety regulations, compliance standards, and best practices in facility operations.
