FACILITIES MAINTENANCE HVAC TECHNICIAN - 1st SHIFT

- Perform regular preventive maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure efficient operation and minimize downtime.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair HVAC equipment including:
- Rooftop packaged units (RTUs)
- Mini-split systems
- Cooling towers
- Exhaust fans and supply fans
- Adjust system settings and controls to optimize performance and energy efficiency.
- Monitor system performance and conduct inspections to identify potential issues.
- Replace filters, belts, motors, and other components as needed.
- Maintain detailed maintenance logs and documentation for all service and repair activities.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal HVAC codes and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with other maintenance staff and departments to support production and facility needs.
- Assist in planning and executing HVAC upgrades and system improvements.
- Respond to emergency HVAC issues during off-hours as needed (on-call rotation may apply).
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including repairs and installations.
- Follow all safety guidelines and use appropriate PPE.
- Complete tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervision
- Follow all health and safety regulations
- Special projects as required
- Actively role model all company environmental, health and safety standards.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with Operations, Managers, Supervisors, and Team Members.
- Ability to work safety with a variety of cleaning supplies.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as an HVAC technician in a commercial or industrial setting.
- EPA Section 608 Certification (Type II or Universal).
- Strong knowledge of HVAC mechanical systems and electrical controls.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Comfortable working at heights and in outdoor or mechanical environments.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- HVAC trade school certification or associate degree in HVACR.
- Familiarity with Building Automation Systems (BAS).
- Experience in a manufacturing or factory environment
