FACILITIES MAINTENANCE HVAC TECHNICIAN - 1st SHIFT

  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure efficient operation and minimize downtime.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair HVAC equipment including:
    1. Rooftop packaged units (RTUs)
    2. Mini-split systems
    3. Cooling towers
    4. Exhaust fans and supply fans
  • Adjust system settings and controls to optimize performance and energy efficiency.
  • Monitor system performance and conduct inspections to identify potential issues.
  • Replace filters, belts, motors, and other components as needed.
  • Maintain detailed maintenance logs and documentation for all service and repair activities.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal HVAC codes and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance staff and departments to support production and facility needs.
  • Assist in planning and executing HVAC upgrades and system improvements.
  • Respond to emergency HVAC issues during off-hours as needed (on-call rotation may apply).
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, including repairs and installations.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and use appropriate PPE.
  • Complete tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervision
  • Follow all health and safety regulations
  • Special projects as required
  • Actively role model all company environmental, health and safety standards.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with Operations, Managers, Supervisors, and Team Members.
  • Ability to work safety with a variety of cleaning supplies.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as an HVAC technician in a commercial or industrial setting.
  • EPA Section 608 Certification (Type II or Universal).
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC mechanical systems and electrical controls.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Comfortable working at heights and in outdoor or mechanical environments.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • HVAC trade school certification or associate degree in HVACR.
  • Familiarity with Building Automation Systems (BAS).
  • Experience in a manufacturing or factory environment
